Croatia has been part of the EU since 2013 but is not part of the Schengen area.
When travelling to Croatia, make sure to have on you your passport or other internationally recognized identification document. Children must have their own travel document or must be registered in the passport of one of the parents. If you are an EU citizen, your national ID card will be enough to enter Croatia. If you want to bring your pets to Croatia, they must have a valid veterinary certificate.
For more information of travel documents, please reach any of Croatian diplomatic missions or consular offices abroad or visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia.
